Audible Local Ledger home page

The Audible Local Ledge (ALL) is located at 346 Gifford St., Falmouth, Ma. It provides broadcasting services to the visually impaired on special radio receivers designed for that purpose.

Volunteers read the local and national news into a microphone and recording the news for broadcasting over the air at a later time. Volunteers mainly staff the program. Broadcasts of news is also presented live by volunteers.

Josephine Fletcher is the Executive Director of the Falmouth program. She herself is visually impaired since early childhood. Josephine's early training was at The Perkias School in Watertown, Mass. From there her career exploded in many directions. She was a vocalist at The Latin Quarter in New York, at Grossinger's Resort in The Catskills, and with the Vincent Lopez orchestra. She has performed and contributed numerous times on radio and television. And now, she is Executive Director and guiding light Of Audible Local Ledger and she still finds time to direct a church choir and is activies in the local theater.
